BRYNNE THURSTON is a results-oriented talent and communications professional with over five years of experience in recruitment and marketing roles. Establishing and exploring authentic relations between the candidate and client is where Brynne’s energy for talent management shines. Her authentic attention to the candidate experience and commerce background bring insight to her role as a legal recruitment associate at The Counsel Network.
She started her career after graduating from the University of Lethbridge, with a major in marketing and minor in social responsibility, focusing on student communication and customer service. She then transitioned into a recruitment role for the university, where she developed and exceeded her territory’s recruitment goals. Along with managing, Brynne planned and executed strategic recruitment events and initiatives for various applicants in the recruitment and intake cycle.
Most recently, Brynne worked for the international luxury fashion department store, Saks Fifth Avenue, assisting in their expansion into Canada as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. She led and managed the full recruitment process including initial contact, recruitment strategy, hiring, intake, and training for over 140 positions in six months.
Brynne also worked as an intern for a world renowned Malaysian fashion house and completed advanced facilitation through the Canadian social enterprise organization Me to We. Her love of travelling and volunteering also brought her to Kenya with the same organization to conduct community work and education in the Masai Mara.
