Job Description – Real Estate Associate
Due to ongoing growth, our client has an immediate opening for a Real Estate Associate to join its team in Toronto. The associate will assist clients in a wide range of real estate transactions and development matters and play a key role in supporting the firm’s real estate practice group.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of documents such as agreements of purchase and sale, development-related agreements, financing agreements and associated ancillary documents.
- Support clients through land development projects, including municipal approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct legal research and draft opinions related to property, construction, and land use issues.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners to deliver practical and business-oriented legal solutions.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and business development activities.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- 2–6 years of commercial real estate experience at a reputable firm or company.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, client service orientation, and a collaborative mindset.
