Job Description – Real Estate Partner
Due to ongoing growth, our client has an immediate opening for a Real Estate Partner to join its team in Toronto. The partner will assist clients in a wide range of real estate transactions and participate in growing the firm’s real estate practice group.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial real estate transactions from structuring to closing, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
- Advise key clients such as developers, institutional investors, and lenders on high-value property matters.
- Oversee negotiations of development agreements, joint ventures and major leasing arrangements.
- Provide strategic guidance on land development, municipal approvals, and risk management across multi-phase projects.
- Participate in and support business development activities, including client relationship management.
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, associates, and articling students within the corporate group
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or equivalent).
- Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
- 8+ years of commercial real estate experience from a renowned real estate firm or group.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, client service orientation, and an entrepreneurial outlook.
