DAL BHATHAL is one of Canada’s preeminent legal recruiters. Currently Managing Partner of our Ontario operations and based in our Toronto office, Dal has worked in our offices across the country, including Vancouver and Calgary. Dal joined The Counsel Network in 1998 and with that kind of longevity she brings immeasurable expertise, sophisticated analyses and market knowledge to her clients and candidates.

Dal has extensive contacts in the legal, business and recruitment industries with whom she shares her understanding of the human capital challenges facing organizations. Dal provides didactic and strategic advice with respect to recruiting partners for law firms and senior positions for in-house as well as providing teams for special projects. Dal leads our In-House Counsel Division and is an authority on matters uniquely affecting legal departments and in-house counsel.

Dal has spent her career demonstrating that ethical recruitment, expertise and attitude make a superior recruiter, and has consequently made a positive impact on the landscape of the legal recruitment market. She is focused on finding solutions and building strong relationships with all of her clients and candidates that will maximize the potential for all parties.

Dal’s passion for the issue of diversity is demonstrated through her involvement with minority-based bar associations such as SABA Toronto and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and her extensive speaking engagements relating to women in law. Dal is a qualified diversity trainer and administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory.
